The South Lancashire Centre has been in existence for over 40 years, this is due to the hard work given by Centre members that have stood for Committee. The prospects for the Committee at the AGM in October this year are bleak.

Four current, long standing committee members have notified, at committee meetings that they will not be standing for re-election at the next AGM. They are:

• Damien Davies
• Michelle Crofts
• Susan Hutchinson
• Annette Turner

At the present time only five members of the current committee have confirmed they will stand at the next AGM. They are:

• Tony Lee (has indicated he will stand for the position of Hon. Secretary)
• Jim Winstanley (has indicated he will stand for the position of Hon. Rally Secretary)
• Colin Buckley (has indicated he will stand for the position of Hon. Treasurer)
• Helen Wincote-Hill
• Phil Hayes

There are three positions that must be occupied, Chairman, Hon. Secretary and Hon. Treasurer, if any of these positions are vacant then all Centre events must cease immediately! At this moment the Centre has the possibility of two vacant officer positions:- Chairman and Vice Chairman. If you are considering standing for Chairman, then please contact a member of the Committee or Damien to see what is involved.

It is now time to be stand up and be counted, other wise the Centre will cease to exist after the next AGM!
